Immediately preceding each Consultants Conference, the NYC Poison Center hosts Grand Rounds lectures with visiting toxicology and emergency medicine faculty from around the world. The cases are typically presented by NYU Toxicology fellows-in-training, but anyone can present cases that are deemed appropriate.
These consultants offer insight into the analysis and approach to diagnosis and treatment. Conferences are jointly provided by the NYU Grossman School of Medicine and the NYC Poison Center.Ĭonsultants’ Conferences provide an opportunity for medical toxicologists, emergency physicians, pharmacists and other providers to learn about the diagnosis and treatment of notable toxicologic cases from renowned experts in various specialties. The conferences are a key feature of the Center’s role as a research and professional education center for toxicologists, fellows, residents, medical students and other health professionals from around the world.
